You can measure your ring size at home in two simple ways. It is recommended to measure more than once to achieve an accurate result.
Method 1 – Measurement using a dedicated app
You can download ring measurement apps for your phone (for example Ring Sizer:or (Ring Size Finder The app allows you to place an existing ring on the screen and match it to the displayed circle.
- Download a ring measurement app from the app store.
- Open the measuring tool in the app.
- Place an existing ring on the phone screen.
- Adjust the size of the circle on the screen until it exactly matches the inner diameter of the ring.
- The app will display the ring size.
Method 2 – Measurement using a piece of paper
- Cut a thin strip of paper.
- Wrap the paper around the finger where the ring is supposed to sit.
- Mark with a pencil the point where the paper meets.
- Unroll the paper and measure the length in millimeters using a ruler.
- The length measured is the circumference of the finger and can be compared to the ring size chart.
Important tips for accurate measurement
- Measure your finger at the end of the day – then the finger is slightly larger.
- Measure at least two or three times and check that the result is similar.
- Make sure the ring can also pass over the knuckle.
- If you are unsure between two sizes – it is usually better to choose the larger size.
- For wide rings, it is sometimes recommended to take half a size larger.
